FRC Hate Group Accuses The HRC Of “Bullying” Tea Party Lawyer & NOM Lobbyist Cleta Mitchell

NOM Lobbyist Cletus Mitchell

For those who don;t know who Cleta Mitchell is.  She’s a campaign-finance lawyer and partner of the law firm Foley & Lardner LLP.   She’s also the attack attorney of choice for every teatard politician there is including Sharron Angle in Nevada; Christine O’Donnell in Delaware; Joe Miller in Alaska; Sen. Jim DeMint in South Carolina; Pat Toomey in Pennsylvania; Marco Rubio in Florida; and Kelly Ayotte in New Hampshire.

Recently Cletus (Yes, I do know what I typed) registered as a lobbyist for the National Organization for Marriage in Minnesota, where a marriage constitutional amendment will be on the ballot in 2012 and to become the point person in their bid to evade Minnesota’s campaign finance laws.  As they usually try to do.

Well the Human Rights Campaign is striking back at Foley & Lardner with outgoing President Joe Solmonese writing in a (surprisingly strong) letter to them saying that the HRC  will be downgrading Foley & Lardner to a 60 score on the 2012 Corporate Equality Index, “one of lowest scores earned by an Am Law 200 law firm in the upcoming report.” He also added that HRC would be advising “corporate counsel and law students” of the firm’s “continued representation of anti-LGBT organizations and its current legislative advocacy on behalf of NOM.”

Well Tony Perkins and the Family Research Council  is now accusing  the HRC of “bullying”!:

Continuing their bullying campaign against anyone who believes marriage is between one man and one woman the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is now going after law firm Foley & Lardner LLP for having the gall to have in their employ an attorney who represents and supports pro-family organizations. Cleta Mitchell, attorney extraordinaire, is one of those “must knows” if you are a conservative because of her straight forward attitude as well as her vast knowledge of the legal field, especially campaign law. Her latest affront according to the Human Rights Campaign? She recently registered as a lobbyist for the National Organization for Marriage in Minnesota, where a marriage constitutional amendment will be on the ballot in 2012. For this HRC thinks she should be unemployable

You have to laugh at how foolish they look when they try take words and phrases that are legitimately used against them and turn them around.

THANK GOD  the FRC is stepping up to defend the poor lambs at Foley and Lardner. Lawyers are notoriously fragile and defenseless, and their feelings are so easily hurt after all.
