The National Organization has come out of the closet itself it seems. Done are the “one man/one woman” speechs. Now it comes down to plain old “gay hate”. So much so that NOM is competing with Bob Vander Plaats and his insane group of anti-gay social conservatives, The Iowa Family Leader, who want candidates to pledge allegiance to a nazi type document called The Marriage Vow: A Declaration of Dependence Upon Marriage and Family by writing thier own anti-gay hate pledge to members of the GOP presidential field.
The NOM Anti-Gay Hate Pledge asks potential GOP Presidential candidates to agree and sign on under the follwing conditions:
A) Promote a federal constitutional ban on same-sex marriage,
B) Nominate and appoint Supreme Court and federal judges that oppose LGBT equality,
C) Vigorously defend DOMA,
D) Establish a presidential commission to investigate the harassment of anti-gay Christians,
E) Establish legislation to repeal DC marriage
First to sign of course was Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney who declined to sign Iowa’s Family Leader hate pledge because it required Romney to control his own behavior and promise to not do things he may enjoy. NOM’s pledge restricts only the rights of LGBT Americans.
