In an article on Politico today on Michele and Marcus Bachmann Crazy Overdive titled Gay Rights Groups Go After Bachman written by Ben Smith which takes a long hard look at how the gay community is reacting to Michele Bachman and husband Marcus’ extremely anti-gay opinions, none other than Maggie (I am ashamed of my husband) Gallagher – Srivastav of the National Organization for Marriage talked about Bachmann and her admiration for her and how wonderful it is that the LGBT community is going after her.

“The more that they attack Michele Bachmann on these grounds, the better her chances of winning the Iowa caucuses are,” said Maggie Gallagher, the president of the National Organization for Marriage, who said she’d admired Bachmann since 2004. “The Iowa base is extremely upset about same-sex marriage and I don’t think they’re going to look kindly on these attacks.”
The article which also includes comments from David Mixer, Michael Cole – Schawartz and none other than Chris R Barron of GOFuckyourself  GOProud also has some interesting stories about Michele Bachmann including the time that as a state legislator in Minnesota, Bachmann led the drive for a gay marriage ban in 2004 and referred to her stepsister’s lesbianism as “part of Satan.”  And how a gay Minnesota state senator recently recalled to the Washington Post that he once found her praying over his desk, and speculated that it was for his salvation from homosexuality.
