Christianist hate-group NOM, has lost their battle to keep their corporate donors a secret in Minnesota. The Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board ruled that groups advocating either for or against a proposed constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage must reveal their corporate donors.
From the Minnesota Independent:
The Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board ruled today that corporate donations to groups advocating for or against a constitutional amendment that would ban same-sex marriage must be disclosed. The Minnesota Family Council (MFC) and the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) argued that supporters of marriage equality would commit violence against their donors if they were made public. On Thursday, the board disagreed.
In state after state, from Washington to Maine, NOM’s efforts to keep their donors hidden have failed. Again and again NOM has tried to play the victim card claiming that their the ones being discriminated against.
