Tracy Morgan Issues An Apology After Anti-Gay Rant. Should We Buy It?

In a statement issued to GLAAD

“I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville. I’m not a hateful person and don’t condone any kind of violence against others. While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context.”

Thats it? THATS ALL?

Considering that when regular LGBT individuals questioned his performance and demanded an apology his publicist said “no comment”.  So I guess it would have been “no comment” if GLAAD and the HRC didn’t go after them.

Morgan’s done this anti-gay stichkt before and he’s only apologizing now because he has a good gig on 30 Rock and he’s probably afraid he’ll lose it.

I don;t buy it and I doubt if there is any sincerity behind it at all.

If I was his mother I’d shove a bar of soap so far up his ass I’d wash out his mouth from the bottom up. (Now that’s funny!)

  1. He is a comedian. He makes jokes. It is free speech. Do not want to be offended, don't listen to him.

  2. You know if a white gay guy did a routine, hell if just a white guy said anything like that about black people his career would be over
