First Lady Michele Obama Denies Support Of Gay Marriage. Must be An Election Year Coming

New Jersey’s Ex-Gov. Jim McGreevey, who is now openly gay  gave up his governorship in 2004 after revealing that he’d had an affair with a man appeared  on CNN Monday night and suggested that Barack and Michelle Obama may not have the same opinion about gay marriage. McGreevey said of the president: “If he could only listen to Michelle more often” when it comes to his stance on same-sex marriage.

Less than 24 hours later Kristina Schake, Michele Obama’s Communications Director sent an email to stating that “Mrs. Obama has never made any public statements about same-sex marriage” and that  Michelle Obama never “had any conversations with former Gov. McGreevey about the issue.”

Before the 2008 election Michele Obama spoke at a fundraiser where she stated  “Barack believes that we must fight for the world as it should be, a world where together we work to reverse discriminatory laws like DOMA and ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.  The world as it is should be one that rejects discrimination of all kinds.”

What a difference 4 years and a re-election makes.
