Mauro Andrizzi’s "En El Futuro" (In The Future) WINS Queer Lion Award At The Venice Film Festival – WATCH The Trailer

Argentine director Mauro Andrizzi’s En El Futuro (In The Future) has won the fourth annual Queer Lion prize at the 67th Venice Film Festival, “For portraying and displaying, in short episodes, spontaneous and solid love, regardless of it being part of a straight or gay love story,”

The 63 minute movie shot entirely in black and white beat out six other titles, including Darren Aronofsky’s thriller Black Swan, which opened the festival. The film stars Natalie Portman, who plays a lesbian ballerina, have already attracted a cheering section for this year’s Oscar race.
