It turns out that the fast food chain Chick-fil-A the second-largest chicken-based fast-food chain in the United States behind Kentucky Fried Chicken is a sponsor and supporter of anti-gay religious groups.
On September 7th. Chick-fil-A will be sponsoring Ohio’s anti gay hate group the Citizens for Community Value’s 23rd Annual Celebrity Golf Classic Fundraiser. The CCV who is “OFFICIALLY” associated with The American Family Association, Focus on the Family, and The Family Research Council is Ohios largest and most vocal anti-gay group and has caused irreputaible harm to the LGBT population by constantly spreading misinformation, lies, and squashing LGBT rights but also had a hand in creating the “SuperDOMA” enacted in Ohio in 2004 one of the worst Anti-Gay Marriage laws in the country.
But it also turns out that Chick-fil-A has a long history of supporting anti-gay organizations. Chick-fil-A has promoted also promoted the anti-gay group Focus on the Family via toys and CDs with links to it’s websites included in children’s meal and also does cross-promotion with Focus on the Family .
We seriously need to let these companies know that homophobia has its price, especially when they team up with dangerously crazy ant-gay hate groups.
