18 people were killed and another 17 wounded as gunman fired over 200 bullets at a party which was held at a recreation centre iin the northern Mexican city of Torreón.the early hours of Sunday morning.

A witness says one of the gang said “kill them all” before the machine gun fire began.

AP is reporting that the shooting is drug gang related but police at the scene initially believed the incident was an anti-gay crime. Which it still could possibly be. The party, a celebration of someone’s birthday, was organized by a gay group on Facebook. All the victims were aged between 20 and 38, and included men and women.
